Heilongjiang University has designated digitalization strategy as one of the four school running strategies, unveiled the Action Plan of Heilongjiang University Digitalized Education Strategy (from 2024 to 2026), and planned ahead its digitalized transition to school education to ensure that AI techonology could play an increasingly important role in high-quality development. Recently, by virtue of newly organized high-Smart Computing Center, our university has finished its localization layout of DeepSeek large language model (LLM).

Our school takes the lead in  the localization layout of more than billions of parameters domestic large model, named as DeepSeek-R1 10 billion parameters large language model, among all the provincial universities in Heilongjiang Province.

This model is equipped with localization knowledge base management, as well as abilities such as complex reasoning and deep interaction. By using Deep-Seek R1 large language model, diverse demands from professors and students in the process of teaching, scientific researches and learning could all be fullfiled.

The successful localization layout of DeepSeek large language model signifies an important phased achievement in implementations of our school’s digitalization strategy. This model would provide services to all faculties and students in terms of courses learning, scientific research, subject development, adiministrative management and service consults.  In addition, it would also aid our school in transition of teaching paradigm, upgradation of smart base research and innovation of courses and reform of comprehensive governance, and contribute to  a newly digitalized campus.

It is said that our school next would make increasing amount of investment in money and technology to promote the iteration of DeepSeek large language model, create Russian language model, Manchu language model and LoongXiaoBo intellectual learning assistant applied settings and so on, enhance working and learning efficiency of all teachers and students, and provide strong AI technology support for high-quality development of our school.
