University Leaders Attend Launch Ceremony of Global Youth Bilingual Announcers and Anchors 2025 "Amazing China Tour" in Harbin Launch Ceremony

On the night of January 4th, Global Youth Bilingual Announcers and Anchors 2025 "Amazing China Tour" in Harbin Launch Ceremony was held at the Harbin Grand Theatre. The event was attended by Zhang Shuting, President of Communication University of China; Lan Feng, Member of the Harbin Municipal CPC Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department; Chi Baoxu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Heilongjiang University; and Wang Jingbo, President of Heilongjiang University. 

        Lan Feng, on behalf of the Harbin Municipal Committee of the CPC and Harbin Municipal People's Government, extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders and guests. She emphasized that global young bilingual hosts and anchors represent outstanding talents with both linguistic expertise and international communication competencies. Their gathering in Harbin, she noted, fulfills a shared commitment to friendship, and she expressed confidence that the grand narrative of "Rendezvous in Harbin: Warming the World Through Ice and Snow" would shine brilliantly through the lens of youthful vitality. She further highlighted the importance of deepening collaboration among Communication University of China, Heilongjiang University, and Harbin Normal University in areas such as discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific research, and practical training, aiming to establish a model for inter-university cooperation.  


In his speech, Zhang Shuting stated that Communication University of China has partnered with provincial and municipal publicity departments, cultural and tourism authorities, and educational institutions to co-create the "Beautiful China Tour" series under the Global Youth Bilingual Hosts initiative. This program enables award-winning participants to immerse themselves in China's cultural landscape and narrate compelling, heartfelt stories through multilingual platforms. He expressed hopes that the event would refine Harbin's urban identity as the "Ice World, Snow Capital," explore international narratives for Northeast China's comprehensive revitalization in the new era, and contribute to the nation's high-level opening-up strategy.  

During the ceremony, Communication University of China, Heilongjiang University, and Harbin Normal University jointly signed an inter-university cooperation framework agreement.

Wang Meiyi, a 2021 undergraduate from the School of History, Culture, and Tourism, served as the bilingual host of the ceremony on behalf of Heilongjiang University. Gold medalists Wang Xiaole and Yuan Chensheng from the Global Youth Bilingual Host Competition shared their professional journeys. Communication University of China presented a multilingual poetry recitation embodying the spirit of youthful ambition. Heilongjiang University energized the stage with a street dance performance titled This Is Me and a rap piece Snow Dragon Chant (Xue Long Yin), showcasing student creativity. The Conservatory of Harbin Normal University delivered a moving rendition of Harbin's Snowthe official anthem of the 9th Asian Winter Gameswhose lyrics and melody captured the citys hospitality and wintry charm. The ceremony concluded with a tri-university chorus of The Future is Ours, marking a triumphant finale.

        The event aimed to inspire global youth to share China's stories through bilingual narratives while strengthening collaboration among Communication University of China, Heilongjiang University, and Harbin Normal University. It also sought to promote Harbins distinctive "Ice World, Snow Capital" image and showcase its unique ice and snow culture to the world.
